YOUNG FAMILIES
Monthly events and get-togethers.
This is a great way for younger adults, with or without young children (early grade school kids or younger), to be together in informal ways, building supportive relationships while strengthening their faith.
Some examples in 2008: a cookout in July; an after-church outdoor lunch in August; and a “sleep-under” party in September. To learn more, please contact Heather Hester at heathermama4@gmail.com.

MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP
Saturday mornings, 8:30-9:45 a.m. every six weeks in the Church Library (for example in 2008: July 12; August 23; October 4; and November 15).
This group offers good food along with interesting, informal conversations led by Pastor Kirk Reed. It’s a group much appreciated by younger men as well as by mid-life men and a few retirees. Contact Pastor Kirk for more information at 847-251-7333 x111.

WOMEN'S CIRCLES
Varies meeting times and locations for each “Circle” group.
Circles vary greatly, from a group of older adults enjoying a meal together to groups meeting to serve others and reflect on topics of interest. For example, the Sewing Circle makes and donates items to a local hospital for babies born to mothers in need. Some groups get together primarily during the daytime while others meet in the evening, so regardless of your schedule you can find good opportunities to participate.
For all the information, please give Libby a call in the church office at 847-251-7333 any weekday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

SUNDAYS AT SEVEN
Sunday evenings at 7:00 in various homes
We have discovered that first-run movies and classic films can inspire stimulating discussion. This group is always fun!
For example, Romero, the film about the Central American hero who dared to challenge both church and state, was chosen as the focus of our summer discussion on Sunday, July 13. Please contact Jim or Loretta Stein for details. They can be reached through the church office (847-251-7333).
